Fact and Fiction - Obama and Netanyahu

Fiction

Parsing the words - One interpretation

Washington and Tel Aviv can’t speak honestly to each other
The influential commentator Dr Anthony Cordesman of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies said that America's commitment to Israel's security "does not justify or excuse actions by an Israeli government that unnecessarily makes Israel a strategic liability when it should remain an asset".

Netanyahu hears no discouraging words from Obama

A blue-and-white Israeli flag hung from Blair House. Across Pennsylvania Avenue, the Stars and Stripes was in its usual place atop the White House. But to capture the real significance of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's visit with President Obama, White House officials might have instead flown the white flag of surrender.

THE APPARENT RIFT BETWEEN ISRAEL AND THE U.S. IS A MIRAGE.

Obama cannot be seen to be caving in to Israel when it comes to resolving the Palestine issue and US efforts to create a Palestinian state and so, for the sake of public opinion, needs to be seen resisting Netanyahu’s insistence that settlement building and building in Jerusalem continues. Of course, Netanyahu’s insistence, in turn, is designed to placate Zionist public opinion.

The fact is that once the final confrontation with Iran has taken place, the whole question about Palestine’s future, settlements in the West Bank and building in East Jerusalem becomes academic. Israel will, so they hope, have defeated Hezbollah and Hamas and occupied south Lebanon and the Gaza, together with a full occupation of the West Bank, while the US will, so they hope, have bombed Iran to the negotiating table and regime change. The US will accept Israeli occupation of the West Bank, the Gaza and south Lebanon as fait accompli.

There will be no Palestinian state. The US will accede to Israel’s creation of a Greater Israel. The West will support Israel and the Arab states, having witnessed the destruction of the Iranian regime, will become utterly compliant.

That, at least, is what the Israelis and the US hope will happen.

What Peace negotiations are you talking about?
TRUE TELL 8:28 PM ET July 2, 2010
Like snake-oil salesmen, the Israelis have been using the so-called peace negotiation ploy to establish facts on the ground (settlements) with full complicity from the US media and the US Congress.

Obama has finally come to feel the heavy boot of the Jewish lobby over his thin black neck; he is hopeless and helpless and in no position to stand to the lobby. For the Israeli lobby, it was only a matter of time before challenging Obama. They waited for his election euphoria to die down and his approval rating to slip and both factors are reality now. Obama is in no position to challenge Netanyahu on peace or settlements; Netanyahu has more clouts in Congress than Obama, even with Obama’s own party.

The best Obama can do when he meets Netanyahu is to seek forgiveness and ask Netanyahu to intercede with the Jewish lobby and Congress not to block his domestic agenda. By examining the political assets of both men, you can easily see the frailty of President Obama in comparison with Netanyahu.

Netanyahu got Hollywood on his side; he got the main stream media executing his PR game, he got Wall Street and AIPAC working for him, and he got the US Congress. Obama got a bunch of brain-washed citizens who can hardly tell where Palestine is on the map.

When Herzl convened the Zionist Conference in Basel in 1897 to call for Homeland for the Jews; Jews were hardly one-twentieth of the population of Palestine. When Britain's Balfour Declaration promising a Jewish state in Palestine was issued in November 1917, there still were only an estimated 55,000 Jews among another 670,000 Muslim and Christian Palestinians. Massive ethnic cleansing of Palestinians took place between 1917 and 1948 by three Zionist terror groups; the Haganah, the Stern Gang and the Irgun. Palestinian villages were ransacked and thousands of Palestinians were murdered in cold blood to terrify Palestinians to flee their homes. 750,000 to 800,000 Palestinians were not permitted by Israel to return to their homes after its creation in 1948. Some of the brutal massacres committed by the Israeli terrorists then were at the Palestinian villages of Deir Yassin and Kafr Qasim. The Israeli historian Ilan Pappe documents that era in details in his book “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine”.  Palestine’s was where Israel is now; stealing the land by the Zionists is not a license to falsify geography and fabricate History.
